If you're a fan of all things food, this is the list for you. Every month, I'll round up the latest and the newest restaurants and cafes in Kuala Lumpur and beyond for you — so you have your list of indulgence sorted.

For February 2021, the list includes a plethora of Insta-worthy cafes, a new restaurant by Chef Wan, MiCasa's latest dining concept, and more.

Note: These establishments are currently available for delivery and takeaway only during MCO.

1 | Burrow

Up for top notch canelé? This cafe in Bangsar Shopping Centre is the place for that. In addition to the original flavour (called The OG), Burrow also offers Espresso Canelé and Maple Pecan. You will also find a delectable selection of croissants, cakes, cookies, and coffee here. The store itself is a cosy and tropical oasis. Note: Burrow is currently on a trial MCO run.

2 | Today's By Dalton

Here, you will be able to get speciality coffee, cakes, and Swiss rolls — including the likes of Giraffe Roll, Heart Roll, and Ocean Roll. Today's Canning series is also worth checking out with options such as Chocolate Latte, Cappuccino, and Strawberry Latte.

3 | Santouits Sandwich Bar

If you're down for a comforting sandwich or two, here's a great spot to visit. Santouits Sandwich Bar offers a variety of unique and palatable concoctions. They include the popular Ciao Bella (with Italian chicken sausage, hickory BBQ sauce, and house made vinaigrette coleslaw); Thyme Out (with beef bacon, sharp cheddar, and apple butter spread); as well as Cheeseketeers (with Colby jack, mozzarella, cheddar, and balsamic vinaigrette).

4 | Get Baked

PJ has a new spot for fresh pastries! At Get Baked, treat yourself to an ambrosial variety of treats — from Classic Croissant and Matcha Croissant to Pain de Champagne and Pain au Matcha Chocolate. Get Baked also offers three types of butter: Kombu, Mentaiko, and Roasted Garlic. The bakery shares a space with Journ.

5 | Square 19

The latest addition to SS2's popular The Hub is Square 19 — a new restaurant serving Western and Asian fusion cuisine. Here, revel in a special menu filled with handcrafted pizzas, burgers, pasta, and other nourishing options. They include Xinjiang Cumin Lamb Pizza, Black Bean Bucatini, Beef Larb Rice Bowl, Picante Fish Cake, and Duck Breast with Red Curry Puree.

6 | Scoby Coffee & Booch

This is the ideal spot for fans of all things kombucha. In addition to kombucha, this kombucha focused cafe also offers specialty coffee and hot mains — such as Amigos Pollo Tartine, Seacatch Tartine, Bamboo Charcoal Sourdough, Lemongrass Viet Bowl, Curry Nara, and Seafood Bunga Kantan. How about the kombucha selection? Options at the moment include: Original, Watermelon Mint, Pineapple, Dragonfruit, and Lemongrass Ginger.

7 | Cafe Chef Wan

The menu here at Chef Wan's newest restaurant is an amalgamation of the icon's gastronomic adventures over the years. This is his travelogue of the world with dishes such as Sri Lankan Fish Croquettes, Truffle Fries with Grano Padano, Sambal Seafood Pizza, Sous Vide Beef Cheeks, Moroccan Chicken Tagine, and Kerutup Lamb Shank. If you have room for dessert, Cafe Chef Wan also offers options like Musang King Cheesecake and Sweet Potato Flan.

8 | Zebrew Cafe Bar

You will a wide portfolio of beverage options here — from Cheese White Peach Oolong Tea to Mango Latte. Up for comfort food? Zebrew Cafe Bar also offers dishes such as Chicken Popcorn, Korean Fried Chicken, Japanese Curry Karaage Donburi, and alcoholic cakes. The sleek black and grey-heavy interior is reason alone to visit.

9 | Craft

Craft is the latest spot to check out for cha-based beverages and maki rolls. While Craft's space is small yet aesthetically enticing, their drinks menu packs an extensive punch with a wide selection of treats. They include Spring Season Cha, Chizucciato Early Grey Cha, Matcha Dragon Fruit Detox, and Himalaya Lemon Season Cha. As for the food menu, they include the likes of maki rolls with raw red tuna, spiced minced beef, honey BBQ chicken cubed, spiced shimeiji mushroom, and raw salmon.

10 | Shiso Dining by MiCasa

Shiso Dining comprises of five different concepts in the same venue — La Terrasse (a Parisian terrace Brasserie helmed by Chef Takashi), Shiso (an Omote Sando café), Mizukami Highball (a speakeasy cocktail bar led by Shawn Chong), Marché (a Deli encompassing ingredients from sister restaurant Cilantro’s pantry), and Vinifera (sommelier curated wine selection).
